Middle School Students Awarded for Science Fair Projects

On Tuesday, January 31, Villa Maria Academy celebrated the achievements of eighteen talented young ladies in sixth, seventh and eighth grade who placed in the following categories for the school Science Fair: Earth, Physical, Life, Computer Science and Engineering.

Ten of the girls in sixth and seventh grade have been invited to attend the Chester County Science Research Competition, the Lucy Balian Rorke-Adams Fair (Grades 6 through 12) on March 6 at the University of Valley Forge – Capeci Hall.

Villa girls engage in a challenging integrated curriculum that cultivates scientific and mathematical literacy while encouraging innovation and creative problem solving. Girls participate in hands-on and creative applications of STEM, both within and beyond the classroom. Villa’s focus is on developing inquiring, open-minded learners by providing the girls with plenty of opportunities to see, do, and experience.

Great job girls! We wish the girls the best of luck at the competition in March!
