Last week, the 6th grade girls participated in their annual Heritage Day presentations on Monday, May 11. The girls researched the country of their heritage and created a display representing different cultural elements, such as holidays, sports, government, religion, and food. They then brought in food from their country and dressed in a traditional costume while giving a short presentation. After their presentations, they celebrated by tasting the foods they brought in. It was a wonderful culminating event of their studies of the Eastern Hemisphere this school year!
