Villa Sports Update

The Villa Maria Academy sports teams are having great seasons! This weekend, the Varsity Field Hockey Team took first place in their second tournament this season. The Varsity Volleyball teams won their games on Friday night and played tough on Sunday afternoon resulting in a win for the Blue Team and an unfortunate first loss for the White Team – but we know they will come back with a win this weekend. JV Volleyball has been improving by leaps and bounds since the start of the season and after some tough matches, they took home their first set win on Friday night. Both the Varsity and JV Soccer Teams continue to play impressive soccer on the fields. While both teams have had injuries to work through, their records are looking great for the post season.

This week Varsity and JV Field Hockey hosted Notre Dame and beat them! This is the first time in a few years that Villa has beat Notre Dame in the regular season. The teams will travel to Ancillae on Wednesday. Varsity Soccer plays all week with Ss. Philip and James yesterday and St. Max on Friday. The Volleyball teams will resume their games this weekend.
