Villa Students Choose Prayer Partners
On September 29, the Villa community gathered in Sacred Heart Chapel for the Prayer Partner Prayer Service.
The Prayer Partners program pairs older students with younger children. Students in grades 5-8 each have a Prayer Partner in 1st – 4th grade.
Prayer partners attend events, read together in the classroom, and celebrate various holiday activities.
This program gives the older students an opportunity to gain responsibility as well as keeping them connected to the younger grades. It also gives the younger students an opportunity to develop a special relationship with an older student who can serve as a role model and friend.
During the prayer service, students in grades 5-8 each choose a prayer partner in 1st through 4th grades. Following the prayer service, students had the opportunity to meet their younger prayer partners in the classrooms.
The Villa Maria Academy faculty and staff also participates in the prayer partner program and celebrate and pray for one another through the year.
The spiritual formation of each student is a vital component of the educational experience at Villa Maria Academy. Each school day is filled with events and activities that support the religious foundation and formation of each student.
