East Whiteland Fire Department Visits Kindergarten for Fire Prevention Week
This morning, three Fire Rescue Officers from East Whiteland Fire Department visited the Kindergarten at Villa for Fire Prevention Week to educate the girls on fire safety. The firefighters spoke with the girls about the importance of having working smoke detectors in each of their homes to help save their lives and explained the importance of their uniforms in helping to keep them safe while they fight fires. “We want kids to understand when they see us in uniform, to not be scared. We are there to help and keep them safe,” said Captain Loren.
Thank you to these very courageous officers of East Whiteland Fire Department for taking the time to educate students and make them feel more comfortable and for all the brave first responders who protect us every day.
