Hoops for Holga Raises $1,000
As part of their service learning in Religion class, the seventh grade helps to support a young girl named Holga living in Guatemala through the Unbound program. Over the past few years, Villa students have helped to fund a new wheelchair for Holga and a tin roof for her family’s home through an in-school bucketball tournament hosted by the seventh grade. They held their third annual bucketball fundraiser this year called “Hoops for Holga,” and raised over $1,000 in three days!
