Update: JV Field Hockey Team Donates Used Sports Gear to Less Fortunate

With the support of Coach B and Jane McCool, the Villa Maria Academy JV Field Hockey Team organized a service project to support the organization Let’s Play It Forward. This organization takes slightly used sports gear and puts it to good use in other less fortunate communities.  During their games on October 13 and 14, the team had boxes near the stands that were collection depots.  This past weekend, as a team, they sorted, cleaned and shipped the gear to the headquarters at Let’s Play It Forward.

Among the many items, the JV Team gathered and cleaned:

Helmets – 2
Field hockey sticks – 11
Soccer ball – 1
Football – 1
Golf clubs – 12
Racquets – 3
Pairs of cleats – 12
Safety pads (shin guards, etc.) – 12
Basketballs – 3
Baseball bat – 1
Lacrosse stick – 1
