Sixth Graders Create iMovies in Religion
The sixth graders at Villa Maria Academy are making their confirmation this year. Before being confirmed, students seeking confirmation choose to take a saint’s name with whom they identify. After confirmation, students can pray to their saint for guidance and protection. In religion class, the girls researched their chosen saint and created a video in iMovie with still pictures and voice over about why they chose their saint, the saint’s feast day, and any other important information about their saint. The girls then worked with Mrs. Dow to create QR codes for their movies and worked in class to create a poster about their saint and included the QR code for people to watch their movie.
Pictured is an example of one of the posters made by the girls.
