Fall Book Fair Success
From Mrs. Connelly, Villa’s Librarian
The Book Fair is packed up, cleaned up, and gone but the excitement of the library filled with books remains!
We want to thank all those who worked to make the Fall Book Fair a big success! As a result of fair profits we will be adding hundreds of books to our collection as well as classroom libraries.
Thank you thank you to Linda Janowicz for organizing our excellent volunteers: Lisa Ricci, Julie Rouse, MJ Dougherty, Becky Bondi, Leslee O’Donnell, Maria Kelly, Jackie Reino, Cathleen Bodge, Crista Ford, Heather Lebano, Theresa Kauffman, Sharon Neumann, Charlene McQuade, and Denise Blango.
A special thank you to Missy Pinola who’s worked the last 9 book fairs—we’ll miss you and wish your daughter well in high school next year!
A special thank you as well to Theresa Evans and Maria DeJong who worked every day from set-up to sales to clean-up!
Thank you also to teachers, Jen Connors, Eileen Delaney, and Melissa Dow for their help Thursday night and Friday!
Thank you as well to Sister Susan and Sister Nancy for their continued support of all we do.
We are very excited to share our book fair profits with our teachers. We are setting up a school wide process for organizing and expanding classroom libraries. We’ll be adding to these libraries throughout the year to maximize student reading and access to the best books for their interests and abilities.
Thank you all for your support of our library and reading at Villa!
