First Grade Students Perform in Saint Show

November is a month of Saints!  On November 2 and 3, Villa’s first grade girls led the annual All Saints’ Day Prayer Service in Sacred Heart Chapel.  The girls practiced their public speaking skills in class with their teachers and worked very hard to prepare for this special day. Dressed as their saint, the girls each spoke of a few facts about their saint and the work they did and then asked guests “Who am I?” before announcing each saint. What a wonderful experience for these students and all of us, too, as we reflected on the saints.  In their simplicity, the first graders reminded us to call upon the saints for help and prayers in our times of need. Thank you to the parents and teachers and to Miss Connors for all the work that went into putting on such a lovely afternoon for students and their families.
