We invite you to experience a Villa Maria Academy education. Our website provides a portal into the rich and vibrant environment of our school that promotes the personal development and academic success of each girl. A strong legacy unites with a dynamic curriculum dedicated to the way girls learn.

History
Since 1872, the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary have been committed to the spiritual formation and education of young girls.  On the picturesque 30 acre campus, the only all girls’ school in Chester County, Villa Maria integrates spirituality with academics in a challenging and nurturing learning environment for students with a focus on leadership and service.

Academic Program
Villa Maria Academy is an academic environment that is designed around the unique learning styles and educational needs of girls. Every day Villa students are challenged to be fearless in the classroom and take risks that are not available in the co-ed environment. The classroom setting and curriculum development is an ongoing dynamic that is intentional and research based. Technology integration in all core subjects gives Villa students advantages that encourages resourcefulness in the pursuit of wisdom throughout their educational journey.  Villa’s unrivaled academics, fine arts, athletics, student activities, and outreach/service learning programs, provides girls the foundation to discover their passions and prepare for a lifetime of learning and leading.

Leadership
Villa Maria students are taught that leadership is related to the power of their influence.  Throughout the Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade Villa experience, girls engage in collaborative learning opportunities to develop critical thinking skills and unlock leadership potential. Embedded in the academic program is a commitment to the understanding of group dynamics, social responsibility, and leadership through love and service.

Spirituality
Not only are Villa girls confident and intellectually capable, they are active members in a community of faith. The IHM traditions of Love, Creative Hope and Fidelity nurture spirituality that will last a lifetime.  The young women of Villa Maria Academy are rooted in these values and are prepared to lead the world of tomorrow with truth and reverence for each person as a unique expression of God’s creation.

Service
Service learning allows students to learn more about their personal motivations, practice academic material outside of the context of the classroom and testing, develop critical thinking skills while solving real-world problems, and to think about problems and social issues in new ways. Service is a key leadership tenet that permeates every aspect of Villa’s culture.
