VMA Forensics Team Finishes Catholic League Season #1

On Saturday May 9, the Villa Maria Forensics Team won 1st place in the overall team sweepstakes at the LaSalle College High School speech tournament. Lauren D. and Kate K. won 1st and 2nd places in Dramatic Interpretation, while Lia O. won 1st place in the Declamation category. Taylor B. won 6th place in the Prose competition. Grace M., Maya V., Maggie P., Leigh M., Mary C., and Cecilia O. all won semi-finals awards. The combined effort of the team put VMA in first place for the tournament – a real team effort!

On Saturday April 25th the VMA Forensics team competed at the annual speech tournament at Holy Ghost Preparatory. Kate K, the team captain, won 1st place in Dramatic Interpretation. Lauren D. and Francesca G. won 1st place in the Duo Interpretation. This was the first time any team member had advanced to finals in either of these categories!
