Author Visit

Mrs. Phoebe Gogia, author of Velvet Griffin Mathemagician, A Ten-Tastic Tale, visited Villa to speak to grades K-2 students about her book to help spark a love for math in children. Mrs. Gogia began with some fun magic tricks to engage the students and then read her story. She taught them her sweet rhymes to remember adding numbers to 10, and then second and first graders participated in a fun activity on the whiteboard tables that she shared in her book to help the girls remember. We are grateful to Mrs. Gogia for coming to share her story with our students at Villa.
