Second Grade Receives First Holy Communion

It was a beautiful day this past Saturday to mark Villa’s annual First Holy Communion celebrations.

Girls who attend Villa Maria Academy receive sacramental preparation at school with their teachers. Parental participation is encouraged at celebrations of the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion, and bringing children along for weekly mass. First Communion is a milestone in a child’s journey of spiritual growth, and we would like to congratulate the girls and their families on this momentous moment. We are so proud of your hard work these past few weeks!

And a huge thanks to Villa’s Second Grade teachers, Sister Ruth and Mrs. Grieves for their assistance in preparing the girls for their big moment. And thank you to Sister Margaret, Miss Connors, and the Choir as well for all of their assistance. What a special day it was for the girls and their families! Here is a picture of some our ladies!
