Varsity Field Hockey Team Wins Shamrock Tournament

Congratulations to our Varsity Field Hockey Team for winning the Shamrock Tournament. The girls won three straight games in one day: the first game was a 6-0 win over Sacred Heart, they then had a Semi-Final win over St. Denis with a score of 2-0, and a Big win in the final against rival Holy Child Rosemont with a score of 2-0. “10 goals for none given up,” said Coach Botta. “They played great hockey all day.” The ND high-school coach, Adele Williams, complemented the team and how well they played together . “This group of girls loves being around each other, which really helps the team chemistry,” said Coach Botta. “Everyone supports and cheers each other. We know they are all having fun. The season is a process of getting better every practice and every game. The confidence level of some of the less experienced players is through the roof. It is really great to see, and fun to watch. Our experienced players are selfless, and do whatever it takes to win. As coaches we can’t ask for more.”
