Villa Maria Academy Supports Operation Gratitude
Students of Villa Maria Academy Lower School in Immaculata, PA, recently donated to Operation Gratitude’s Halloween Candy GIVE-Back. Operation Gratitude is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that sends care packages & letters of support to individual Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed in harm’s way.
Third grader, Isabelle S. came up with the idea of holding a Candy GIVE-Back at school. “Thank you for supporting Isabelle’s enthusiasm for this project,” said Isabelle’s mom. “I am so proud of her and all of the students who shared treats with our troops.”
The Halloween Candy GIVE-Back was a perfect avenue for children to learn about patriotism and service, as they donated their “hard-earned candy” to their heroes and an opportunity to say “Thank You” to all who serve.
Villa students and their families donated over 132 pounds of Halloween Treats!!
