Students Build and Race Underwater Robots in Pool

For the past few years, our 8th graders have participated in the Sea Perch Program, sponsored by the Office of Naval Research which integrates engineering and science concepts in the construction of a underwater remote operated vehicle. The girls have been working very hard the past few weeks to finish the construction and programming of their ROVs. This week they competed in a series of races for the winning trophy and will complete the program with a reflection of the project.
