Blessing of the Blazers

Sixth grade as well as new seventh and eighth grade students participated in a special Villa tradition this morning – the Blessing of the Blazers. When the girls enter middle school, they receive a blazer, a sign of unity, allegiance, and a reminder of their leadership as upper-level students at Villa. During this special service, the blazers are blessed and placed symbolically on each student, welcoming them into the “middle school family.” Congratulations to our new middle-schoolers!
