First Liturgy and Blessing of the Blazers Ceremony

Last week we gathered for our first liturgy of the year as a school family. Following Mass, sixth grade, as well as new seventh and eighth grade students, participated in a special Villa tradition, the Blessing of the Blazers. When the girls enter middle school, they receive a blazer, a sign of unity, allegiance, and a reminder of their leadership as upper-level students at Villa. During this special service, the blazers are blessed and placed symbolically on each student, welcoming them into the “middle school family.” Congratulations to our new middle-schoolers!
