Forensics Team Places at Archbishop Wood Speech Tournament

Members of the Villa Maria Academy Forensics Team competed at the Middle School Speech Tournament at Archbishop Wood High School on Friday, February 15 with outstanding results. Eighth grader, Jordi D. won first place overall for her Dramatic Interpretation performance. And eighth grader, Makenna W. won first place overall for the presentation of her original speech entitled “Gratitude.” All team members competing had first and second place recognition in at least one of the preliminary rounds allowing the Villa team to place sixth in the team standing for the tournament with only five entrees! This was a great team victory for their first competition! Congratulations girls! We are Villa proud.
