Fourth Grade Creates 3D Linking Nameplates
The fourth grade girls designed name blocks in Tinkercad. They followed the tutorials in Project Ignite, a component of Tinkercad where teachers can set up classrooms and assign activities.
They learned about connectors, how to align and group objects, and how to turn objects into holes to create empty spaces inside of other objects. This is how they “carved out” their names. They also learned how to prepare .stl files for printing.
They are using these skills to now create math manipulatives for the classroom to help future fourth graders learn about fractions.
Great job girls!
