Villa Maria Academy’s Preschool at the Early Learning Center was created as a place to educate the whole child.
Each age-appropriate activity provides a warm and nurturing environment that builds positive social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. Our caring teachers create a safe environment for kids to try out their newly learned skills.
Through music, circle time, learning centers, and sensory rich activities, the children explore a new letter of the alphabet and number each week. With the use of the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum, handwriting becomes exciting with lots of songs and rhymes for each letter.
We also utilize the theme-based Houghton Mifflin Splash into Pre K curriculum to introduce concepts in language, math, social studies, and science.
Religion
Each day brings many opportunities for the children to develop a love for Jesus and learn how to be a good friend to Him and each other. Early Learning Center students attend special all-school liturgies in the Motherhouse’s Sacred Heart Chapel with the K-8th grades to introduce students to a life of faith.
Added Value
The children are also active participants in Spanish, Music, Library, and Physical Education added value classes. These classes allow them to explore various topics with our different instructors.
