Reading Olympics Competition in Fifth Grade
On Tuesday, May 10, the fifth grade traveled to St. Aloysius Academy to participate in the “Reading Olympics” Competition. This project began in the fall, when the students were asked to read nine books in preparation for this collaborative event.
Students were split into groups of boys and girls and worked together with their teammates to answer questions in a competition setting.
“It was a fun way to learn about the different books and their characters,” said Fifth Grade teacher, Mrs Veneziale.
After the competition, the girls shared a pizza lunch with the boys. It was a great day and a good time was had by all.
