On May 18, the First grade students joined the Sixth grade girls down in the Science Lab to work on a project. The girls were making a scale system of the planets and their distance between each other in the solar system. Many of the groups even added an asteroid belt in between the terrestrial plants and the gas giants. Both grades had so much fun working together.
Villa Maria takes every opportunity for students to interact and work together between grade levels. Working with younger students gives the older students a chance to be role models and develop leadership skills and the younger students a chance to learn from their older peers.
