Sixth Graders Celebrate Heritage Day
The sixth grade girls participated in their annual Heritage Day presentations on Monday, April, 18. The girls researched the country of their heritage and created a display representing different cultural elements, such as holidays, sports, government, religion, and food. They then brought in food from their country and dressed in a traditional costume while giving a short presentation about their own personal customs and traditions related to their chosen country. After, they celebrated each other’s heritages by tasting the foods they brought in. It was a wonderful celebration of our students’ diversity and family traditions!
