Student Leadership Team Installed in Ceremony

Eighth grade members of the 2015-2016 Villa Maria Academy Student Leadership Team were installed in ceremony on Friday, October 2, at Villa’s first Friday mass. After student leaders were installed, school principal, Sister Susan Joseph,  addressed students as they pledged to work hard for a successful year.

Student Leadership Team President, Angelina S. then spoke to the girls about leadership. She said, “As a student body, we are able to project the IHM Charism on a much larger scale – through our influence on others.” And how “this year, the Student Leadership Team, as well as the Villa teachers have been emphasizing on how influence is a big part of leadership.”

Vice President of the Student Leadership Team, Magnolia P., asked the student body to recite a promise to be good leaders and to serve others throughout the year.  And Vice Principal, Sister Nancy Kindelan, closed the ceremony with students stating Villa’s school pledge and singing the alma mater.
