Students Named Delaware Valley Children’s Charity Youth Ambassadors: To Manage Children’s Holiday Program
Each Christmas season, Villa takes part in the Delaware Valley Children’s Charity’s Holiday Program, which at Villa we call the Villa Angels Program. The school receives over 200 envelopes with names of children in need, and Villa families “adopt” the child for Christmas by purchasing gifts for the child. The two Delaware Valley Children’s Charity Youth Ambassadors from Villa this year are seventh graders Alexandra T. and Norah C. The girls will follow the footprints laid by those who have done the work before them. The girls will be busy fostering interest and support in DVCC among friends and family, as well as running and managing special projects including the Holiday Program, Easter basket drive and the Thanksgiving meal drive. Each of these wonderful girls are shining examples of kids helping kids. On October 20, youth ambassadors from Villa and St. Aloysius Academy in Bryn Mawr along with several other volunteers from their schools, attended the DVCC’s envelope stuffing event. Seventh graders Maura L., Molly K. and Cara W. volunteered to help out. Villa families are excited to sign-up and start receiving the information for their children. Sign-ups will be in the Communication Envelope of the Villa Weekly this week. Families can also donate individually wrapped toys for Villa’s Giving Tree at the Christmas Bazaar.
