Villa Welcomes The Hance Family Foundation’s Beautiful Me Program to Parents, Teachers and Students

On March 18, Villa welcomed representatives from The Hance Family Foundation to present their program, Beautiful Me… The EAK Project to third, fourth and fifth graders.

Beautiful Me is a self-esteem program designed to educate females by promoting appreciation for their genuine qualities, accurate self awareness, and the satisfaction of helping others )http://hancefamilyfoundation.org/beautiful-me/).

The girls, their teachers, and a moderator were mixed into groups and talked about what it truly means to believe you are beautiful. They discussed people in their lives they admired, what they loved about themselves, and what they loved and thought was beautiful about the others in their group and worked on activities to bring the discussion alive.

Warren Hance visited Villa Maria on the evening of March 17 to present Beautiful Me to parents – Raising a Beautiful Child. “It was a very beautiful presentation,” said Villa’s Principal, Sister Susan. The program for parents and educators was designed to provide adults with practical tools that can be used to nurture and educate girls, while enhancing their self-esteem & coping skills. The Hance Family Foundation also offered support to Villa’s teachers on March 17 and 18 as well.

We would like to thank The Hance Family Foundation for sharing their beautiful program with the Villa Maria Academy community.
