Villa Students Present Projects at the Chester County Science Research Competition

On March 7, ten middle school students from Villa Maria Academy presented their projects at the Chester County Science Research Competition at the Lucy Balian Rorke-Adams Fair (for Grades 6 through 12) at Technical College High School (Pickering Campus) in Phoenixville.

Congratulations to Maura N., Megan A., Christina J., Leila A., Caroline C., Mary C., Isabella C., Sarah G., Norah C., and Stefanie J.

The students were invited to participate in the competition after placing in the Villa Maria Academy Science Fair in February. The girls’ projects represented the following categories: Computer Science/Engineering, Earth Science, Physical Science and Life Science.

The Chester County Science Research Competition is sponsored by the Chester County Intermediate Unit. The girls were participated with over 400 total projects in the competition. The competition provides the students with the opportunity to present their projects to professional adults and scientists as they communicate the results of their investigations.

The Awards Ceremony for the competition will be on March 17, 2016 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Downingtown High School West. Congratulations to Stefanie J., Caroline C., and Norah C. who will be receiving awards.
