Villa Maria Academy Collects Over 1,000 Pairs of Socks for the Homeless

This year’s theme at Villa for Catholic Schools’ Week was: Villa will ROCK your SOCKS off! During the week, students, families, faculty and staff at Villa Maria Academy collected socks in the designated boxes around school for the homeless in Chester County.

On Wednesday, February 10, members from Villa’s Swim team sorted the socks into three categories (children, women and men).  We are pleased to announce that we have collected well over 1,000 pairs of socks!!

Over the weekend, the socks were donated to St. Agnes Day Room in West Chester and St. Mary’s Franciscan Shelter in Phoenixville.  Both facilities received over 500 pairs of socks!

Thank you to all of the donors for your support and donations for this collection!
