Villa Maria Second Grade Students Organize Service Project for Veterans
On Friday, November 20, the 2nd grade girls at Villa Maria Academy Lower School helped sort the items brought in from the Veterans service project they sponsored. The girls encouraged their schoolmates in Preschool through 8th grade to donate personal care items such as shaving cream, deodorant, body wash and hand lotion to help the men and women who have served our country. The items were donated to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Coatesville. This organization provides health care, disability, and educational benefits to local veterans. The girls also wrote letters to the veterans which were brought to the center as well by their teachers, Mrs. Keister and Miss Harkins. We are so proud of our second graders for their leadership on this project.
