5th Grade State Projects

Looking for a travel agent? Look no further than Villa’s own 5th grade! In no time at all, these girls will have you packing a suitcase and planning a vacation in one of our fifty beautiful states.

The girls spent the second trimester researching each of the fifty states using Noodle Tools. After gathering information about their state such as famous tourist attractions, famous people and National Parks located within their state they created storyboards and then a promotional iMovie for their state. Students then linked their iMovie to a QR code and added that code to a brochure about their state that they created on the iPad in Pages.

The fifth grade students also researched and created a movie about a famous author from their state during their Library periods. The culmination of this work was on display in the gymnasium on Monday when the girls presented their states to their family and friends. Guests were invited to walk around and visit each state, taste some local delicacies, and scan the QR codes to watch the videos the girls created.
