Early Learning Center Students Enjoy Thanksgiving Feast
On November 24, students in the PreK and 3’s classes at Villa Maria Academy’s Early Learning Center enjoyed a Thanksgiving Feast as pilgrims and native americans in the cafeteria.
The PreK class dressed as native americans and made and decorated their own head dress and vest, as well as their macaroni necklaces. Students learned about native americans and animals and each chose a native american animal name such as Howling Wolf or Swimming Fish. The children also decorated tee pees as centerpieces for their Thanksgiving tables.
The 3’s class dressed as pilgrims, complete with bonnets and hats.
Both classes prayed a prayer before their meal and had a nice feast to celebrate the day.
Happy Thanksgiving from our little pilgrims and native americans!
