For a culminating project, the Eighth grade girls created roller coasters out of pipe insulation…
The Kindergarten classes have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. Both classes received caterpillars a few weeks ago, and they have nurtured and cared for them the past few weeks and observed their complete metamorphosis.
During their studies, they explored a butterfly’s life cycle in detail, and learned that they grow into adults through 4 stages: egg, larva, pupa and adult.
On May 8th, they released their Painted Lady Butterflies in the courtyard of Villa Maria Academy. Here they are holding a few of them.
