On Monday, students in grades 1-4 participated in an assembly led by Mrs. Jill Shinn of Science Explorers. Science Explorers is an innovative, hands-on science company dedicated to providing an opportunity for children to become engaged in the wonders of science. Today, Mrs. Shinn discussed with students how cool and fun science can be and taught the girls the difference between potential and kinetic energy with a few fun experiments. “If it’s not fun, we’re not doing it,” she said. That is their motto at Science Explorers.
Mrs. Shinn also talked to the girls about the new Science Explorers after-school programs that will be starting at Villa this Fall. More information and registration for the Science Explorers after-school programs can be found in the Villa Weekly, along with a video clip from Mrs. Shinn’s presentation.
