Second Grade Makes First Communion

On April 28, Second Grade students from Villa Maria Academy received their First Holy Communion in the Villa Maria House of Studies, Sacred Heart Chapel.

The girls received sacramental preparation at school with their teachers. Students received their First Penance at Villa on February 23 and on Friday, April 27, the girls and their teachers celebrated their upcoming sacrament of First Holy Communion with a lovely retreat at school.

First Communion is a milestone in the girls’ spiritual growth, and we would like to congratulate all of the girls and their families on this special day. We are so proud of your hard work girls!

Thank you to Second Grade teachers, Mrs. Grieves and Mrs. Thompson, and all the second grade parents for preparing the girls for their big moment. And thank you to Sister Susan, Sister Patricia, Miss Connors, the Third Grade Choir and teachers for all of their preparations and participation to help make the day so special.
