Varsity Field Hockey Team Wins Runner-Up in Shamrock Tournament

Congratulations to our Varsity Field Hockey team, who enjoyed a great Saturday of field hockey as they participated in Notre Dame Academy’s Shamrock Tournament. We began with a nice 4-0 win over St. Katherine’s, and followed that up with a wonderful 2-1 victory over a league rival, Rosemont School of the Holy Child.  Both games were awesome displays of teamwork, with significant contributions by all players.  Winning those first two games resulted in a championship game appearance against a very good Notre Dame team. Having had only 1:15 minutes of rest, our girls battled to 1-0 half, but came up short in the end, losing 3-0.  In true Villa form, our girls celebrated their runner-up finish with pride.  We are so proud of their teamwork and determination.
